Obtained  by the method of steam distillation from crushed and dried roots of medicinal (pharmacy) ginger - Zingiber officinale Ross. (ginger family - Zingiberaceae).
Origin of the plant:  South Asia.
Plant propagation: the  plant is widely cultivated in India, Europe, Africa, Australia, China, Japan, Central America and the islands of the West Indies. The largest producers of oil are Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Malaysia, Japan, China, West India and Brazil.
Properties:
pale yellow, amber or greenish liquid, gradually becoming more viscous in contact with air, having a spicy aromatic odor with a distinct citrus note. 
Main components:
zhingibernen, alpha-curcumen, beta-bisabolene, beta-sesquifellandrene, beta-caryophyllene, beta-element, alpha-copaene, geranium, neral, citronellol, camphene, alpha and beta-pinene, alpha-flalandrene, limonene, 1,8-cineol, linalool, camphor, terpinene-4ol, alpha-terpineol, alpha-gumulene. The oil contains more than 150 compounds, most of which belong to the class of terpenoids.
Ginger essential oil is combined  with oils of cloves, jasmine, cayaput, coriander, cinnamon, lavender, incense, lime, myrtle, juniper, mint, patchouli, orange, neroli, bergamot, geranium, rosemary, rose, santalum, eucalyptus, alemi.

In a full  bath  add 3-4 drops, pre-mixed with 1/4 cup emulsifier (milk, cream, whey, honey solution, sea salt or salt). 
For  massage  - 4-5 drops per 10 ml of base vegetable oil. 
For  grinding  - 7 drops per 5 ml of the base. 
For the  compress  - 2-3 drops of oil per 1 glass of water.
Precautionary measures. 
May cause irritation to sensitive skin. Do not use in early pregnancy.
